When You Arrive…
Parking: The Walnut has dedicated parking for two large cars in the gravelled yard, with additional parking available by prior arrangement. If you arrive after dark, automatic movement-activated lighting will help you safely find your way through the parking area and courtyard.
Step through the private courtyard into The Walnut’s spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, with practical Karndean flooring throughout.
The well-equipped kitchen has an electric Aga, combination microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and 50/50 fridge-freezer, together with plenty of crockery, cookware and other essentials. There is ample space for guests to prepare meals together, while the vintage pine dining table comfortably seats four.
The Lounge forms part of the bright, sociable open-plan living space. Two comfortable sofas provide plenty of room to relax together, while the large QLED Smart TV, family games and books are perfect for easy evenings in. Bi-fold doors open directly onto the fully enclosed private courtyard, bringing the countryside views and fresh Norfolk air into the room.
The Courtyard is private and fully enclosed, with a six-foot wall separating it from the rest of the site and three-foot wooden fencing designed to preserve the far-reaching countryside views.
Comfortable outdoor seating makes it a lovely place for morning coffee or relaxed meals. In one corner, your private five-seater hot tub offers 23 jets, including targeted and directional hydromassage—perfect for soothing tired muscles after a long walk or simply unwinding beneath Norfolk’s open skies.
The outdoor coffee table converts into a dining table, giving four guests plenty of room to eat outside. A large parasol provides shade during the day and gentle solar-powered lighting in the evening.
Bedroom One has a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed, together with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables with directional lighting, a hairdryer and a Smart QLED TV.
Its private en-suite has a walk-in, floor-level rainfall shower, toilet, hand basin, shaver point, radiator and useful storage. A second bathroom farther along the hallway provides a full-size bath with an overhead shower, toilet, hand basin, shaver point, radiator and additional storage.
Bedroom Two has a comfortable king-size bed which can be arranged as two single beds if preferred, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for couples, friends or family. The room also has two chests of drawers, bedside tables and a useful bench.

- Our usual bookings run from Saturday to Saturday.
- Short breaks may occasionally be available outside the main season—please contact us to check availability.
- The Walnut is a strictly non-smoking property.
- The Walnut is detached and shares the main parking area and wider site with the owners’ property and guests staying at Peanut and Bumblebee.
- The cottage is arranged entirely on one level. It may suit guests with limited mobility, but please contact us before booking to discuss your individual access requirements.

- Water bowls, dog towels and ‘Ruff and Tumble’ drying mitts. Drying mitts are also available to purchase.

- Crates in sizes S, M, L and XL, available on request.
- A private fully enclosed courtyard and access to our shared enclosed paddock.
- A dog buggy available to hire.
- If your dogs normally sleep on the bed with you, please bring your own bed linen and suitable throws.

- Fresh bed linen plus tea, hand and bath towels. All pillows and duvets are non-feather, and the towels are Egyptian cotton.
