Our Accommodation
Choose from three beautifully converted, single-storey cottages, each with its own private enclosed courtyard, countryside views and hot tub. The Walnut sleeps four in two king-size bedrooms and has two bathrooms, making it perfect for couples, friends or family. Peanut and Bumblebee are peaceful one-bedroom retreats for two: Peanut offers direct paddock access, while Bumblebee has a cosy wood-burning stove for winter evenings. Whichever cottage you choose, you’ll find thoughtful comforts for both you and your dogs.

Another lovely time at The Walnut! We have never returned to the same accommodation in all of our travels in this country and abroad. But The Walnut and Paul and Stella’s hospitality called us back. The whole little complex with The Peanut and The Bumblebee is immaculate, looked after with great love and care by Paul and Stella. The accommodation is comfortable and cosy and has everything you could want for humans and dogs. Having come in the Summer last year it was lovely to see the different views and we were so lucky to have amazing weather in March compared to the not very nice weather in June!! As soon as we arrived Dennis our Cockapoo couldn’t wait to get to the paddock - one of his favourite places. He loves all the beaches near by and the brilliant walks. There are plenty of dog friendly pubs nearby serving fantastic food. This time as members of the National Trust we visited all the Trust places nearby and walked and walked. Thank you Paul and Stella for all your hard work and care, you obviously love what you do.

From the moment we arrived, Paul and Stella made us feel so welcome; their warmth and hospitality instantly created a relaxed, home from home atmosphere. The cottage itself was beautiful, cosy, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the absolute highlights was the hot tub looking over the countryside there’s nothing better than unwinding in it after a day out, surrounded by such peaceful surroundings. Everything about our visit felt special, from the thoughtful touches throughout the cottage to the genuine friendliness of our hosts. It’s rare to find somewhere that feels this inviting and relaxing. We genuinely didn’t want to leave and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

It was so welcoming with everything provided and to such a high standard. Our dog gave it a full examination by exploring every room, and when she curled up and settled on the mat in the living room we knew it was the right place to be. The Walnut has been beyond our expectations; one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and over the years we have stayed in quite a few. From the hamper full of delicious goodies tailored to our dietary needs, and the well equipped kitchen to the comfortable beds, we couldn’t ask for anything more. Everything had been thought of but more was to come, when our hosts Paul and Stella, went above and beyond during a mini heatwave and an unexpected power cut to ensure that we were not inconvenienced and continued to enjoy our stay. The Walnut is the most peaceful place in beautiful surroundings. Our hosts, the cottage and even the weather have all been perfect. A very big thank you to Paul and Stella for a lovely relaxing stay at The Walnut. We will definitely return!!

Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible with quality facilities and fittings. Paul & Stella are so welcoming and are immediately on hand if needed. The Peanut is absolutely perfect for dogs with a lovely grassy secure paddock immediately adjacent. Lovely furnished secure patio and hot tub are just perfect if weather permits. Jan - Peanut - May 2026Thank you once again Stella and Paul for a wonderful stay. We usually stay in The Walnut but this time chose The Peanut. The standard of accommodation was just as impressive, a real ‘home from home’ with everything you could need for your stay. Having been on many ‘dog friendly’ holidays, Willow Tree Holidays are definitely a ‘breed apart’ Dogs are truly catered for. There is a basket full of everything your dog could need, blankets, throws, toys etc etc. They also receive a lovely treat in the Welcome Hamper. The best thing about The Peanut for our Cockapoo Dennis was the direct access to the paddock. He loved sniffing around, chasing his ball and just lying in the sun! He also loved being close to fantastic beaches where he could run freely even in July! Sitting on the patio late into the evening with just the sounds of the country was so restful. There is also the facility of a hot tub for relaxing. This time we were able to see some amazing sun rises, hares having fun and farmers gathering the harvest. We thoroughly recommend The Peanut, The Walnut or The Bumblebee. You will definitely return and Stella and Paul will welcome you as one of the family. Thank you both for our gold standard stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Bumblebee. Paul and Stella have done a wonderful job building, decorating and furnishing this cottage. Everything has been done to such a high standard it was a joy to be there. The sofa and bed were super comfy and perfect for cosy nights in and lovely lie ins. We loved the location - having a paddock to use was a real plus, where Albus could also meet up with other friendly dogs staying and play with his ball. So rural that during our stay the potato crop was being harvested which was very cool. Fab walks from the door and lovely places to eat too. We enjoyed a walk to Happisburgh as well as trips to Bacton Woods, Blickling Estate and coastal locations like Walcott, Bacton and Waxham. We saw seals popping their heads out of the water at Waxham which was wonderful. Only disappointment was that our week came to an end and we’ve had to come home. Staying at an ERC is a joy for dog owners - nothing else comes close!

The standard of finish and cleanliness is to a high standard. It’s located in a lovely area, close to beaches and surrounded by fields. It brings nature to the door and a sense of tranquility. The owners are super helpful, if required, and discreetly in the background. We love it there, been a few times and booked for next year. Bumblebee is well worth a visit.

This is a beautiful place and so well thought through, with tiny details that made it a wonderful holiday. The cottage is comfortable and truly dog friendly. The welcome pack for us was amazing, with such tasty treats, and the dog basket was brilliant. Digger loved all the toys and the dog paddock. It was great that he was allowed on the sofa—one of his favourite places. Paul and Stella were great hosts and so helpful.

What a beautiful, peaceful place this is to stay. Stella and Paul are so welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble, although we really didn’t need to trouble them because they had thought of everything! The self-contained courtyard was perfect for our two greyhounds - the ideal place for them to lay out and enjoy the fresh air and for Jill to stand up at the gate and ‘talk’ to Paul and Stella’s dogs when they were in the paddock. Both Jill and Dennis loved getting into the paddock. The perfect enclosed space for a bit of a blast! We humans were well catered for too. Everywhere was pristine, everything to make use of and finished to a wonderfully high standard, The Walnut was ideal for us two and our dogs, as well as for my elderly mum as everything is on one level. The hot tub was a real luxury that we made the most of - quite magical at night under the stars. So many thoughtful touches, including the welcome hamper, the fresh flowers, the handmade doggie treats - the perfect start to our stay. We loved it so much, can’t wait to go back.

I loved this place the minute I walked through the gate to the patio garden. The barn was clean, well equipped and beautifully appointed with a TV that my partner was thrilled with! The hot tub was fabulous and the peace and quiet with just the birds singing was glorious. Will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Walnut as a family of four with our two whippets. Being all on one level made it perfect for our young children and the enclosed courtyard meant that no dogs or children could escape!! The cottage was absolutely spotless - not a dog hair in sight, you wouldn’t have known that any furry friends had been there before. We had a fantastic week at The Walnut – a beautiful converted barn with a hot tub. The barn is in a great location and is really well appointed with lots of little extras which add to your stay and both dogs and humans have everything needed for a relaxing break. Our dog settled in straightaway and was more than happy to curl on the sofas whilst we enjoyed the (extremely well maintained) hot tub – which was a great way to relax after walking and cycling around the area. The peace of just sitting and looking at the fields and wildlife whilst in the hot tub or on the outdoor sofas was just perfect. We celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary whilst there and were extremely touched by the personalised touches which Stella and Paul provided. Exceptional pub, The Star, with great good within walking distance. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we hope to return.

My friend and I and our four dogs (three Greyhounds and a Pointer) had a lovely stay at The Walnut. Right from the moment you drove through the gates, you could see The Walnut ahead of you and what a fab property it is. The owners, Stella and Paul, should be extremely proud, especially Paul who did the build. The booklet showing the transformation of an old farm building to The Walnut was very interesting. Paul even had USB power points added around the property and there are plenty of sockets (you can never have too many sockets). The beds and Egyptian cotton bedding were divine. The whole property had lovely touches of style and everything was high spec. Stella and Paul were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I had requested a summer duvet and a fan and both were provided. The welcome hamper was scrummy and the dogs loved their biscuits. Our dogs relaxed the minute we put the supplied throws on the sofas. At one point we thought we would have to sit on the floor. If you want a beautiful property, in beautiful quiet surroundings, then The Walnut is for you.
